“Oh, we will just give her a good clean, a fresh lick of paint, build a second cabin and be out sailing in 4 to 6 weeks max.”
That was pretty much one year ago to the day. Oh how naïve we were.
It’s been quite a year and quite the journey to get to this point, but I’m happy to say that we are ending 2024 IN the water.
FLOATING. Like a boat should be!
I could write a lot about the last year of boatyard life, how hard it’s been, how challenging, how financially draining. But that’s just not a fun subject. Maybe a little bit further down the line when I’ve had time to reflect I can share some thoughts and experiences from the last year.
But what I really want this blog to be, is a documentation of life on the water and the adventures we once dreamed of, finally happening.
